The Academic
Competition Club, ACC for short, was actually started by John Dawson
during spring semester of 2000 at Villanova. The club was started to
give Villanovans interested in academic competitions a place to
organize.
Now a fully
indoctrinated club, the ACC is recruiting new members and retaining old
members to (ideally) make its current year even better than the last. In addition
to attending tournaments, ACC has also hosted TRASH Regionals for the
Mid-Atlantic region.
The ACC is currently going strong, with more competitions
planned for this semester and next. We're always looking for more members,
especially from liberal arts majors. Just come to our next meeting
(listed on the front page), or e-mail our
president, Nathan Molteni.
