Year-end
Meeting & Sneak Preview of AOL Ad Campaign Created by Villanova NSAC Team
April 30, 2008,
from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in 1011 Bartley Hall
As is our custom,
the highlight of our final meeting will be a sneak preview of the
advertising campaign created by the students in the Integrated Marketing
Campaigns class (MKT 4132). The campaign has been entered in the National
Student Advertising Competition (NSAC), which is organized by the American
Advertising Federation.
The NSAC pits over 200 colleges across the country in a competition to come
up with the best ad campaign for a corporate sponsor. This year’s corporate
sponsor is AOL. Our students have come up with a campaign to re-brand,
re-position, and rejuvenate AOL. It’s been an exciting project, and the best
is yet to come.
Presenting the campaign and representing Villanova in the NSAC District
Finals are the following ‘Nova students: Greg Ahern, Ashley Chiarello, Aaron
Levy, Chris Notaro, and Suzanne Thompson. The District Finals are this
Saturday in NYC.
Also on the agenda for meeting: the installation of the Ad Society’s new
E-Board and a salute to our outgoing officers—Colleen Dunleavy, Kim Lam, and
Nina Shah—who are graduating in May. It will be a festive occasion with food
and prizes, as we salute our current and future leaders and show our support
for the students who will be representing Villanova in the NSAC.
