AITP is the Association of Information Technology Professionals.  It is comprised of both Student and Professional chapters, each providing opportunities tailored to benefit its members.  AITP members are Professionals in the field of Information Technology (IT) or are students who desire to enter the IT field and are looking to help themselves better prepare for the professional world.

AITP at Villanova University:

The Villanova University Student Chapter works hard to provide the best opportunities for the Villanova Community, especially for its members.  By organizing our own guest speakers and co-sponsoring the SIM Speaker Series, our Chapter helps to educate members on topics in the IT world today.  Our organization also provides our members with information regarding internships that are available, as well as career planning advice from faculty and other professionals.  In addition, by being a member of AITP and our Student Chapter, you have the opportunity build a great network.  By attending the meetings you are able to meet peers and faculty.  You will also have the opportunity to attend the dinner meetings of the Montgomery County Chapter at a discounted price.  There you can meet the members of the area Professional Chapter and create contacts or ask them questions.  The opportunities that the Villanova AITP Chapter provides are endless.  Fill out the form to join our email list and come to our meetings to find out more about what AITP and the Villanova Chapter can do for you.

Montgomery County AITP

“The Montgomery County chapter has provided over 35 years of service to the community under the name of AITP. We are part of Region 11, which consists of Eastern PA, Delaware, Maryland, and Southern New Jersey. Our chapter meetings are usually held the 3rd Wednesday of every month except for July and August at the William Penn Inn. They include a social hour to give you a chance to network with other members of the I.T. community, an excellent meal at Pennsylvania's oldest continually operated country inn, and an educational program with a powerful speaker on leading edge topics. There are usually around 40 to 50 people in attendance at our monthly meetings, comprised of members of all areas of the information technology industry.”

AITP National

The National Organization offers events and opportunities for the professionals and the students.  They produce the Nanosecond, the student newsletter, and the Info Exec, the professional newsletter. Each year they hold a student conference in which a resume book is distributed to all IT organizations that are hiring, contests are held and various awards are distributed to outstanding chapters.
