About Us
The dance team dedicates its time between
three different venues:
Basketball games, Football games, and on campus and community events.
Basketball:
Villanova Basketball games give the Dance Team the opportunity to
showcase their style, athleticism, and energy. They can be seen
sitting in the student section generating school spirit and
participating in cheers. During an official time-out and at
half-time, the team takes the floor to perform a self-choreographed high
energy routine to original music mixes. The audience is treated to
unique choreography that includes visual movements, fast transitions,
the newest hip-hop moves, and athletic leaps and turns.
In addition to home games at the Pavilion, the
Dance Team travels to perform at basketball games hosted at the Wachovia
Center in Philadelphia, PA.
At the end of the basketball season the Dance
Team is invited to the Men's Big East Basketball Championship held each
year in New York City. Traveling to the Big Apple gives the team
the opportunity to perform at one of the greatest venues in the world,
Madison Square Garden.
Football:
The Dance Team has become part of the Villanova Football tradition.
Before the games you can find the team performing to band favorites and
University songs in a tailgating parade through Wildcat Village.
During the football game, the team sits in the stands cheering the
wildcats to victory. As a highlight, the team can be seen dancing
alongside the band, and twirlers to various themed musical selections at
half-time.
On Campus & Community Events:
The Dance Team is very active in both the University and surrounding
community. The team is happy to make several appearances
throughout the year.
