A
round of debate involves two teams of two debaters each, and one
judge (elimination rounds later in a tournament have three judges,
but more on that below). A team must be prepared to debate either
side of the topic.
A round generally takes about an hour
and a half, though most tournaments allow two hours per round to
make sure teams can get to the next room, prepare for the next
debate, grab a donut, etc. |
