THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST IN THE
MARKETING SOCIETY!!
Since there were still a handful of
people who could not make our information sessions, here is a recap of
what went on! Because of scheduling conflicts, there WILL NOT be holding
additional info sessions, however, below, you will find all the
information you need to become a member!
WHAT
WE DO: The Villanova Marketing Society holds events at least twice a
month in which professionals from all different areas of marketing come
to speak. They explain what their job entails, what their days are like,
and talk about any internship and career opportunities available to the
students! These events are not mandatory, but they are a great way to
start networking! We also have general body meetings once a month, just
to recap on the speakers we’ve had—we like to hear your opinions on
which you liked and disliked. We also want to hear who YOU would like to
come speak with us. Given our high status as an undergraduate business
school, many companies are more than willing to come speak with us!
HOW
TO BE A MEMBER: To be an official member of the Marketing Society, you
MUST be a registered paying member of the American Marketing Association
(AMA). This is a $42 annual membership that offers amazing benefits such
as professional contact information, admission to AMA conferences,
internship & career opportunities and much more!
HOW
TO JOIN THE AMA: To register for the AMA, please visit their website at
www.ama.org
and print out the “Collegiate Student Application”. You may also pick up
a hard copy by stopping by Professor Mullen’s office (our faculty
sponsor) in Bartley 3023. In filling out this form, you must have it
signed by Professor Mullen before you mail it in.
Please send your
forms and payments to:
American
Marketing Association
311 S. Wacker
Dr., Suite 5800
Chicago, IL 60606
*REMEMBER—The
Marketing Society does not collect any collegiate dues beyond the AMA
dues, so while you are completing the AMA form, keep in mind $42 is the
ONLY payment you need to make!
