The ultimate purpose of the Villanova Students Association (V.A.S.A.) is to foster cultural unity and understanding among the African students and the Villanova University community.
We hope to provide a forum that will celebrate the diversity embodied in Africa through cultural events, educational seminars, and community outreach programs.
Our key goals include:
Fostering solidarity among African Students and scholars at Villanova University;
To enable African students and their Villanova University counterparts to share the cultural wealth of the African continent;
To raise awareness and to arouse interest in African cultures and affairs within Villanova University and the surrounding communities.
We also look forward to carry out fundraising activities to support Africa and its plights such as the AIDS scourge.
To project the African image in the American society through social and cultural activities
